Meet Ralph
After serving more than seven years in the U.S. Army, Ralph began his insurance career with Federated Insurance in Owatonna, Minnesota, where he specialized in commercial coverage.
Following an intensive training program, he relocated to Madison, Indiana in 1983—where he has been serving clients ever since.
Ralph is a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) with 43 years of designation experience, focusing primarily on commercial and life insurance. His career includes time with Federated Insurance and the Joe Dial Agency in Bloomington before continuing his long-standing work in the Madison community.
Outside the office, Ralph enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors. His interests include NASCAR, basketball, jogging, hunting, and shooting sports. He is also an Eagle Scout and a member of several conservation organizations, including the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and the Wild Sheep Foundation.
Ralph has been involved with a number of local nonprofit boards over the years and remains committed to giving back to the community. He earned his associate degree from Chaminade University in Honolulu, Hawaii, attending classes in the evenings while serving full-time in the Army.
Most of all, Ralph values time with his family—especially his five grandchildren.
Meet Bonnie
Bonnie served as Office Manager and Personal Lines Sales Manager for many years, playing a vital role in the growth and day-to-day operations of River Valley Insurance. Now retired from her full-time role, she remains actively involved in the business, continuing to support the team and its clients.
She first joined the agency in 1992, working part-time while also employed at Jefferson Proving Ground. After its closure, Bonnie transitioned to a full-time role in 1993 and became a cornerstone of the agency for decades.
Throughout her career, Bonnie oversaw all aspects of personal lines, including home, auto, inland marine, and personal umbrella coverage. As Office Manager, she also managed accounting, IT, purchasing, personnel, and overall agency operations.
Bonnie earned her Property & Casualty License in 1993 and her Life Insurance License in 2006, and maintained her expertise through ongoing professional education, including coursework at Ivy Tech Community College.
She has been deeply involved in the local community, volunteering with Girls Inc. and serving as a past President of the Board of Directors.
Outside of the office, Bonnie enjoys cooking, entertaining, traveling, reading, and staying current with technology. She especially values time with her family and cherishes every opportunity to be with her five grandchildren.
Meet Ashley
Ashley grew up in Madison and graduated from Madison Consolidated High School in 2005. She went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University East.
Ashley joined River Valley Insurance Group in January 2019 and became a licensed agent in 2020. She began her career in the customer service area, where she built a strong foundation and developed both professionally and personally over the years. She now specializes in personal lines insurance while continuing to expand her knowledge in commercial lines. Ashley currently resides in Louisville, Kentucky, and commutes daily for work.
Outside of her professional career, Ashley enjoys spending time with her significant other and their daughter, as well as their cat, Pepper. She values time with family and friends and is an avid fan of Indiana Hoosiers football and basketball. As a season ticket holder, she enjoys attending home football games whenever possible. In her free time, Ashley also enjoys attending concerts, traveling, cooking, reading, watching television, and spending time at the beach.
Meet Alicia
Alicia joined the team in August 2025 as a Customer Service Representative, bringing with her a background in customer service from her time working with a major airline. Her experience has shaped her ability to connect with clients and provide thoughtful, efficient support.
Originally from Madison, Alicia is a graduate of Madison Consolidated High School. She later attended IUPUI and earned her bachelor’s degree from the Art Institute. After spending 18 years in the Indianapolis area, she returned to Madison, where she now continues to grow her career. In 2025, she became a licensed property and casualty agent and is excited to keep expanding her knowledge in the insurance industry. Alicia is dedicated to helping clients navigate claims, billing questions, policy changes, and any other concerns with confidence and care.
Outside of work, Alicia enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, making the most of family time through gatherings with loved ones. She has a creative spirit and loves exploring art, photography, hiking,and hands-on projects. You’ll often find her thrifting for unique finds or diving into a new craft or DIY project.
